Inspection system ST-6035 successfully passed Site Acceptance Test in Pogranichny Check Point

On December 12, 2013, inspection system ST-6035 successfully passed Site Acceptance Test in Pogranichny Check Point, Vladivostok region, with participation of State Customer according to the agreed SAT Program.

The technological equipment of ST-6035 is demonstrated, its operation is tested, its performances are measured at winter operation conditions (at outdoor temperature -25° C).

The measurement results are written in SAT protocols. The protocols are signed by the State Customer.

Main performances:

• X-ray energy: 6/3.5 MeV
• Dose rate: 4.0 Gy/min at 1 m
• Accelerator repetition rate: 2х200 Hz
• Scanning speed: 18 m/min
• Maximal integral dose at one hour operation at 10 cm distance from tunnel wall surface and fence near shielding doors: ≤ 0.6 µSv
• Steel penetration: 400 mm

Wire sensitivity:

• In air: 0.5 mm
• Behind 100 mm steel: 1.0 mm
• Behind 250 cm steel: 6 mm

Contrast sensitivity:

• Behind 40 mm steel: <1%
• Behind 200 mm steel: 0.5%
• Behind 300 mm steel: 1%

Precise material discrimination on test pieces from carbon, aluminium, steel, lead in mass thickness range upto 120 g/cm2.

Weight evaluation of test pieces from carbon, aluminium, steel, lead with precision about 10%.
